About · Jeffrey N. Dixon

A steady hand for complex systems and the people inside them.

Two decades in human resources, payroll systems, and operational management — now extended into applied artificial intelligence, ethical leadership, and independent research. I build infrastructure that helps organizations and ideas move forward with clarity and integrity.

§ 01

A practitioner first — then a researcher.

My career began in the regulated, exacting work of payroll and federally compliant research documentation, and grew through more than a decade of frontline operations management — leading teams of up to 47 people, owning the day-to-day, and building the human and procedural infrastructure that lets organizations function. That foundation taught me that integrity in small details is what makes the larger system trustworthy.

Over the past several years, I balanced primary caregiving for a family member with completing a B.S. in Leadership and an M.S. in Organizational Leadership. During that same period I went deep into applied artificial intelligence and workflow automation as a working necessity, learning how these tools behave under real-world constraints. The result is a working fluency with generative AI, narration and audio production, and end-to-end automation pipelines.

I am now pursuing doctoral studies in Ethical Leadership at St. Thomas University, with research interests in leadership in complex systems, organizational culture, and the responsible use of emerging technologies. The questions that drive my work are practical ones: how do institutions actually live out their stated values, and where does the gap between claim and conduct begin to widen? I take those questions seriously because I have spent most of my adult life inside the systems that the answers describe.

Outside formal academic work, I run a small portfolio of independent ventures — an independent research lab producing long-form audio reports, a 24/7 AI radio station in development, and a decorative arts shop. They look unrelated on paper, but each one is an exercise in building something real, end to end, with the same standards of craft and clarity I would expect from any serious organization.
